I would like to take this time to say hello and welcome you to my site. I will take this time to introduce myself to you.
My name is Leola, However, All my friends call me Lola, so please call me Lola.
I Am the daughter of Leo and Patricia Chamberland. I was born in Hartford Conn, and I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
As you have surfed through my pages you see both my parents have passed away in the last couple of years. My Mom died in 1999
and my father died in 2004. So all these pages are in their memory.
I am married to a wonderful man and his name is Richard. We have been married for almost 28 years. We will celebrate our anniversary on October 22, 2006. We've raised 3 wonderful sons. Two are mine from a previous marriage and one is his from a previous marriage. But, They are our sons. We live in the northern part of Maine. We have been in Maine since 1978. I love the spring, summer and fall time of the year, here in Maine. However, the winters are something one has to get use to. I have lived here most of my life and I'm still not use to them. Now, our boys are grown and all have families of their own. Our oldest son and his wife gave us 2 grandchildren. Desarae and Devon. The our middle son and his wife gave us 2 grandsons, Austin and Joshua. Then our youngest and his wife gave us 2 grandchilden, Trinity and Zachary...ISN'T THAT WONDERFUL!!!!!
I am a nurse and have been since 1986. I started as a CNA and I did that until 1990. While I was working, "full time" I took a few night classes. Took me longer, but, that was ok. I graduated from Northern Maine Technical College in June of 1993, with my LPN. I went to work in the hospital in Presque Isle. I worked there for 6 years on the Med-Surg floor. When my mom became sick and had to go to doctor appointments and to hospitals out of the area we lived in, I decided to take a job closer to home. At the present time I am working at a Rehab Nursing Facility, where I started as a CNA. I work 3 nights a week, 12 hour shifts. This gave me time to be with my mother and to help my father care for her when she weakened from her illness, pancreatic cancer is what our mom had. She was diagnosed in April of 1999 and she passed away in September of 1999. Our father joined our mother, the love of his life, his soulmate of 48 years, in May of 2004. Believe it or not he died 4 years and 8 months after our mom.
I hope this gives you a little insight to me. I didn't intend to get so lengthly, but there is a lot to tell...LOL
